Derek Dykstra and Weston Charles partnered in the fall of 2022 to create Ally Genetics with the goal of building an elite sow herd that produces nationally competitive projects and industry relevant seedstock.

Derek is the President and CEO of Gracon LLC and the owner of CEAD Farms. He went to Colorado School of Mines and gained his degree in Civil Engineering. He lives with his wife Elyse and two daughters, Chloe and Autumn in Broomfield, Co.

Weston and his family operate Ally Genetics on the farm in Flagler. Weston and Jessica and their children, Landon, Luke and Layna have been raising showpigs there for many years but are so excited for the rapidly changing future of the new and improved operation.

Derek and Weston grew up in neighboring towns both on their families’ farms. They coincidentally exchanged some sows and A-Frame farrowing houses as kids in the early 2000’s and have always had an interest in showpigs but honestly could have never dreamed of working together at that time. As a lot of good things do, the timing and chances of Derek and Weston’s partnership seem met to be.
